Prostatitis And Male Infertility

 1. Prostatitis may cause necrospermia

Prostatitis, epididymitis and seminal vesiculitis may affect the transport of sperm. Prostatitis may cause ejaculatory ducts become dropsical or even obstruent, thereby resulting in obstructive oligozoospermia or azoospermia.

Azoospermia is the medical condition of a male not having any measurable level of sperm in his semen. It is associated with very low levels of fertility.

Sperm is produced in convoluted tubule. Under the microscope, the sperm looks like a tadpole; when the dead sperms are over 50% of the total, it will cause infecundity, which in medical is called necrospermia.

2) Factors attributing to necrospermia

The sperms are produced in the convoluted tubule of the testis and enter the epididymis first, and enter the spermary through deferent duct, and the fluid of seminal vesicle excreted in the seminal vesicle contains the essential nutrient substances for the living of sperms. The bacterial reproduction in the tractus genitalis consumes large quantity of nutriment, which damages sperm's living environment and the sperms will die due to lack of nutrition.

The bacteria in the urethra will always enter prostate, spermary, deferent duct, epididymis and testicle via ejaculation, which can lead to inflammatory pathological changes, and finally result in prostatitis, seminal vesiculitis, deferentitis, epididymitis and so on. When the bacteria reproduce in the tractus genitalis, there are some hazardous substances excreted to damage the sperms;
The bacteria excrete large quantity of acid substances in the tractus genitalis, which will reduce the PH value of male tractus genitalis, and cause acid intoxication to the sperms;

Also, the bacteria reproduction will consume large quantity of oxygen, which will make sperms die due to oxygen deficit.

Therefore once a man's genital tract is attacked by bacteria, he should actively treat the infection.

Since Necrospermia, Oligospermia and obstructive Azoospermia are caused by prostatitis traditional Chinese medicine can cure them by curing prostatitis. Therefore, once prostatitis is healed, Male Infertility which is caused by prostatitis can also be cured at the same time.
