1. An acute bacterial prostatitis patient may see blood in his urine, and often suffer fever and chills. In this situation, he should go to the doctor as soon as possible. Normally, doctor will give antibiotic to him for seven to fourteen days. Plus, fever and chills should be treated with other medications. Patients do not need to feel uneasy. Acute bacterial postatitis is the least common prostate problem and it can be treated easily. Just have some rest and take it easy.
2. What annoy chronic bacterial prostatitis patients most are the recurring baldder infection symptoms. In this case, patients have to take more antibiotic and the treatment lasts for long time. Usually, about sixty percent of those patients can be cured.
3. Chronic nonbacterial prostatitis, which is also called chronic pelvic pain syndrome is able to affect any men at any age. Pain and discomfort spread in groin and bladder. Antibiotic are usually given, however, with little efficacy. Sometimes we can say, chronic nonbacterial prostatitis is a stubborn disease, because we even don't know its pathogens.
For long-term cases, prostatitis treatment may include exercise, massage therapy, medications to reduce anxiety, and biofeedback techniques.
So we have learnt that antibiotic can’t be applied to every type of prostatitis. However, doctors will never give up these convinience, even though patients may suffer side effects or resistance. Other treatments as we mentioned above can also address symptoms but not root causes. It is said that herbal remedy tends to be a new popular resolution. We have witnessed its rising success, and still need to pay close attention to it.
