When should you choose antibiotic as prostatitis treatment?

Prostatitis as an inflammatory disease commonly is treated by antibiotic. Antibiotic has many types including pills and intravenous drug. Actually, it is hard for patient to choose which antibiotic to use.

Patients who have had an allergic or adverse reaction to another fluoroquinolone should not take ciprofloxiacin. Side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and headache. This antibiotic increase the risk of tendonitis and tendon rupture, which may occur up to several months after treatment ended.
Commonly, the principle of using antibiotic is two more antibiotics are better than one, because this can reduce the harms caused by antibiotics.
If the antibiotic you have taken is useless, you should ask your doctor and let him or her to tell you whether to change another antibiotic or increase the dosage. This can reduce the risks of side-effect and drug resistance.
You should use most common antibiotic at first and then change it when it is useless. As is known, with the abuse of antibiotic, many antibiotics cannot work effectively as before, so many alternative antibiotic invented. Thus, in order to avoid the newly invented antibiotic is useless, you should try common antibiotic first.
Antibiotic is a complicated treatment, so you should try it carefully. However, there also has one treatment that is simple than antibiotic which named herbal medicine. Herbal medicine has no side-effect and no drug resistance.
