Doctor
A variety of causes can result in congestion, edema and hypertrophy of the prostate gland. The prostate gland is very vulnerable to some unfavorable conditions. For example, the prostate gland may congest and swell because of the stimulation of microbial infection of the prostate gland or some bad living habits, such as sedentary, prolonged standing and constipation, which will probably lead to the onset of prostatitis.According to western medicine, there are two types of prostatitis, that is, bacterial prostatitis and non-bacterial prostatitis. Since urethritis often initially infects the prostate gland, and then it will go on infecting the seminal vesicle, epididymis, testis, bladder, renal pelvis and so on, 60% of the patients with bacterial prostatitis are also attacked by vesiculitis, epididymitis, orchitis, and urethritis. Non-bacterial prostatitis is the result of the partial congestion, hypertrophy and hyperplasia of the prostate gland which is caused by the bad lifestyle such as sedentary, prolonged standing and constipation.
