DoctorYou will only be admitted to hospital for acute bacterial prostatitis if your symptoms are very severe, or if your immune system is already weakened or if you are unable to pass urine. Acute prostatitis is a medical emergency. And it can very possibly cause the complications such as seminal vesiculitis, epididymitis and orchitis. Therefore, you had better treat it to prevent it developing into other serious disease.
