Can prostatitis cause semen with blood?

That is completely possible. Prostate gland is the gland to produce prostate fluid. Prostate fluid is a major component of the semen. Once the prostate is inflamed, it is always congestive. The blood may seep into prostate fluid. This is the reason why you see blood in semen. 
There's also another possiblity: this prostatitis caused seminal vesiculitis or orchitis. And semen with blood is a symptom of these diseases as well.
